At a corner of an unfrequented narrow alley in a small Greek village of Rhodes, we discovered an old traditional bakery - forgotten but honoured by the passing of time. It was around noon on a Sunday and the old baker, who was waiting for customers to sell the last loaves of his traditional bread, invited us to go inside. The dark rustic decaying interior was a photographer's paradise and we tried to do our best without a tripod. The friendly baker proudly showed us the old wood oven, his tools of trade and of course his freshly baked bread. The aroma of the bread and the smell of the burning wood was overwhelming. It was quite a privilege to take photos of such an old establishment, which is most probably the last of its kind.
